Himmelluft · Privacy Policy
Last updated 25 October 2026
Himmelluft is a radio app for iPhone made by Jesper Henriksen, a solo developer in Denmark. It has no accounts, no sign-in and no analytics. I do not collect any information about you or about what you listen to.
What stays on your iPhone
The songs you like with the heart, and your settings, are stored on your iPhone. If iCloud is switched on for the app, your likes are also kept in your own private iCloud database so they follow you to another iPhone. That database belongs to your Apple Account; I cannot read it.
Apple Music
The music plays from your own Apple Music subscription through Apple's MusicKit. The first time you press play, iOS asks whether Himmelluft may use Apple Music. If you allow it, the app asks Apple to play the songs in the schedule and to look up the album, year and Apple Music's notes for the song that is playing. This happens between your iPhone and Apple under Apple's privacy policy. Himmelluft does not see your Apple Account, your library or your listening history.
What the app downloads
To know what is on, the app regularly downloads the public broadcast schedule and the recorded talk between songs from a server I run on Supabase, hosted in the EU. These are the same files for everyone, and nothing about you is sent with the request. Like any web server, it may briefly keep the technical details every request carries, such as an IP address, in its logs; I do not use them for anything.
For artists Apple Music has no notes about, the app may fetch a short summary from Wikipedia. Wikipedia receives the artist's name and nothing about you.
Links to other services
The Apple Music and Spotify buttons open those services with the song's title and artist. What happens there is covered by their own privacy policies.
No tracking
Himmelluft has no advertising, no analytics and no tracking, and shares nothing with anyone.
Children
The app asks for no personal information from anyone.
Deleting your data
Deleting the app removes the likes stored on your iPhone. To remove the copy in iCloud, go to Settings, then your name, iCloud, and manage the storage for Himmelluft.
Changes
If this changes, this page will be updated before the app does, with the date above.
